Food festivals are the epitome of great dining mixed with live entertainment, meeting new people, conversing with the local community farmers and much more. If you’re looking to stop by some local events, or hop in the car and make it a road trip to remember, be sure to check out these food festivals popping up all over New South Wales.

Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival – 10 to 12 March 2017
As the centre of Australia’s fresh stonefruit industry, Swan Hill has become renowned for their amazing seasonal produce. What better way to celebrate than by taking the March long weekend and making the trek to the sumptuous food, fragrant and full-bodied wines, great live entertainment, relaxing cruises and more that awaits you at Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival. If you’re willing to spend some money on tickets, you won’t be disappointed in this must-do food festival experience.

Mudgee Region Food and Drink Trail – 16 April 2017
Indulge yourself in some of the best paddock-to-plate dining available at the Mudgee Region Food and Drink Trail. Take a magical food and wine journey through the gorgeous scenery of the Mudgee region. With your ticket you will receive five vouchers, which can each be exchanged for a sample of local wines, beers or spirits that you can then pair with a regional dish. With more than 15 stops along this beautiful trail, there is sure to be something here that tempts your tastebuds!

Hunter Valley Wine Festival – 24 June 2017
Some of Australia’s very best wines originate from the Hunter Valley, so it is the perfect place to visit for their wine festival this year. Hosted at the beautiful Crowne Plaza, you’ll be treated to a wide selection of wines, cuisine, ciders and beers that will pair perfectly with the breathtaking surroundings. There will also be plenty of live music and other entertainment available while you peruse the multitude of food and wine stalls—what could be better than this?

Taste Orange, Sydney – 22 September 2017 (to be confirmed)
Take in the tastes and sounds of Orange without leaving the big smoke by attending Taste Orange in Sydney. Hosted in Martin Place, here your senses will be overloaded by the plethora of market stalls laid out before you. You’ll be able to visit winery stallholders such as Philip Shaw, Slow Wine Co, Rowlee, Small Acres Cyder, Highland Heritage Estate and more. Tuck in to some sumptuous food brought to you by The Second Mouse Cheese Company, The Agrestic Grocer, Franklin Road Preserves, among many others.

Sydney Good Food and Wine Show – 23 to 25 June 2017
Bringing together food lovers near and far, the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show is all about unearthing new wines and tasting delicious food, as well as learning new hints and tips on creating your own culinary delights. With hundreds of exhibitors lined up, you’ll be hard-pressed getting around to all of them. Attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year, if you want to attend you should get in quick!
